Shoddy workmanship and poor service with regards to system that is down

We have had an incredibly frustrating experience with GoSolr’s installation and customer support. After discovering that the roof above our garage was leaking due to poor cable installation, we immediately reported the issue on 29 January . The installation team had clearly done a poor job, as the tiles were visibly lifted, allowing rainwater to seep through.

GoSolr initially scheduled a service visit for 31 January, but no one showed up, wasting an entire day of our time. They eventually responded on 3 February, apologizing and promising to address the matter. When they finally arrived—without prior notice, when no one was home—they made another poor attempt at fixing the problem. Instead of properly sealing the roof, they moved the pipe and then wrongfully blamed our air conditioning units, which are over 7 meters away and have no impact on the affected area. This was both inaccurate and unacceptable.

After receiving no resolution, I privately contacted a GoSolr technical manager on 19 February 2025, who assured me he would "start a conversation with our install partner, especially with the images which are very telling." However, by 25 February, no one had contacted us to arrange a repair. On 26 February, the technical manager informed me that the installers had done an assessment—but no one had actually come out to inspect the issue. When I pointed this out on 28 February, they promised to send someone on Monday, 3 March.

Eventually, a subcontracted handyman came out, inspected the work, and confirmed that the installation was poorly done and that the installer should fix the roof. Despite this, on Monday, 11 March, we received a call saying that their report concluded the damage was not caused by the GoSolr installation—which is completely false, as evidenced by multiple independent inspections and clear photographic proof.

To make matters worse, on 16 March, our entire solar system stopped working. We immediately reported this and they tried to assist us telephonically but to no avail. We were asked to send pictures of the system. On 17 March we provided photos as requested. By Thursday, 20 March, we still had no feedback. After calling again this morning, we were told the issue would be escalated and that we would receive an update later today. This never happened.

Now, we are left with both a leaking roof and a non-functional solar system. Based on other reviews, it is clear that GoSolr’s subcontracted installers and third-party contractors do not uphold the company’s reputation. This is the second time I’ve had to write a review just to get them to address our issue.

We expected professional service when choosing GoSolr, but instead, we’ve faced delays, poor workmanship, and a lack of accountability. This is completely unacceptable.
