Pleasantly Surprised

GoSolr did a solar installation for me about a month ago. I was quite nervous before they arrived as I have heard some horror stories about the quality of service in the solar industry. I was pleasantly surprised.

The installation was done using a subcontractor NonStop Solar. The job was done very neatly and professionally.

About a week ago the logger on the inverter stopped working so I could not monitor usage via the app on my phone. I phoned GoSolr on a public holiday to try and resolve the issue. I phoned the support line and a support agent spent about an hour on the phone with me to resolve the issue. We could not resolve the issue and it was escalated to someone more senior, Enrico.

We were not able to resolve the issue over the phone either. I was expecting to wait a week or two (or even longer!) before a technician could come out which is what I heard is the 'industry standard' at the moment.

About 15 minutes later Enrico phoned and indicated that a technician can be at my premises within 30 minutes. I was astonished! Mfundo arrived shortly after and after about 45 minutes the issue was resolved.

This was not an urgent issue as everything worked I just could not monitor the status of the system via my phone, but Enrico and Mfundo still came to my rescue even on a public holiday.

Thanks to GoSolr I dont even look at the load shedding schedule any more!
