over promised and underdelivered
My total electricity spend /month has almost doubled since installing Gosolr. Their web add promises between 10 and 20 kwh/day while it actually only produces around 5 kwh/day!

25 Jul 2023, 16:37Hi Simon,
Thank you for bringing your concerns regarding the performance of your Gosolr system to our attention. We understand how important it is for you to receive the expected benefits from your renewable energy system and strive to provide our customers with reliable and efficient solar solutions.
To address the discrepancies between the promised and actual energy production, we would like to indicate some crucial factors that may influence the solar panel output:
- Weather Conditions: Solar panel performance is significantly impacted by weather conditions. On cloudy or overcast days, the amount of sunlight reaching the panels is reduced, resulting in lower energy production.
- Shading: The placement and positioning of solar panels are vital for optimal energy production. Even a small amount of shading from nearby objects, such as trees or buildings, can cast shadows on the panels, leading to a decrease in overall efficiency.
- Sun Shift in Seasons: The sun's angle and intensity vary throughout the year due to the changing seasons. This natural phenomenon can cause fluctuations in solar energy production. During winter, the sun's lower angle can reduce the panel's exposure to direct sunlight, affecting daily output. The proposed 10-20kwh/day production is on a yearly average basis and winter season is expected to have lower production values.
We are looking into it and will have a support agent reach out to you as soon as possible.
Regards,
Gosolr Team Management
