Broken verbal promises and zero accountability – GoSolr fails to deliver buyout statement again
Following my previous Hello Peter review regarding GoSolr's failure to provide a buyout statement for our property sale, I received a phone call on Thursday, 5 November 2026, from Allistair. He gave a verbal undertaking that the official Buyout Statement/Tax Invoice for R135,000.00 incl. VAT would be generated and emailed to our conveyancer, Anne Louw, on Friday, 6 November 2026. Friday came and went, and once again, nothing was generated, nothing was sent, and the conveyancer has received zero documentation. This pattern of making verbal promises over the phone to appease public complaints—only to fail on basic administrative execution the next day—is unacceptable. CRITICAL INSTRUCTION TO GOSOLR: Do NOT phone me. Phone calls leave no audit trail and allow staff to make verbal commitments that are not honored. All communication from this point forward must be strictly in writing via email. Account Details: Account Number: *** Support Ticket: *** Action Required: Email the official Buyout Statement / Tax Invoice for R135,000.00 incl. VAT directly to the conveyancer, Anne Louw (***), with myself copied (***), by Monday, 9 November 2026, at 12:00 PM (midday). If this deadline is missed, this matter will be escalated to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) for obstructive administrative conduct delaying a registered property transaction.
