Sies bad customer servicee
I graduated on the 21 April 2023 at University of the Western Cape fro my Honours Postgrad Degree. I paid for my graduation photos digital and print outs. When I received my photos two months later the photographer's hand was in my photo and the angle the stage photos was taken was at such an awkward spot because the academias soles of his shoes were exposed on my graduation photo. When I enquired they photoshopped the hand out and emailed me a digital copy and told me that if I want a print out I will have to pay. What bull is that . You messed up but I have to pay for your mess up. I emailed the University and informed them of this unprofessional company and of my grievance. Upto today Gordon Harris photography has not made any contact to either reimburse me or reprint my photos. I cannot frame these bad photos. My memory of that day is all I have . As I am to embarrassed to frame this bad photographs of me. I would not recommend any institution or private person to make use of them. Bad service, unprofessional.
Please read my email regarding the reprint : The head and shoulder photo will be reprinted at no additional cost to you as this was our mistake. However the staff on stage are meant to be there, he is standing there and removing his foot can be done but he will not have a foot then. As this is the academic staff on stage, the person placing the band on your shoulders this reprint will not be free of charge. The editing fee has already been waived, and we can share the digital; however, I asked if you would like to order a print. I have not received your reply thus I did email a follow up in last week. I will again email your today. I have copied the text of my original email below:
I do apologize for the photographers hand in the head and shoulder photo, it was missed by the out putter and will be addressed. There were three photos taken of you at that point and the one with most open eyes were chosen and unfortunately the hand was missed. I will request the manipulation to be done and will have the reprint couriered. As for the academic staff in the background of the banding photo that is how the setup is planned it is the exact moment your belt is placed on you. if you wish we can edit this photo for you, however the reprint will not be free of charge as per the head and Shoulder photo, you can either order an additional print or we can only share the digital copy? Please let me know if you would only like to receive the digital or order an additional print of the banding. I can then have this done today.
