Google Adwords - Beware automatic payments

I signed up for a Google Adwords campaign after being solicited by them by E-mail. I was assisted by Robert Leslie, based in the UK. I was asked how much I could afford per month on a small keyword campaign. I said R2000.00/month but Robert convinced me that R 4000.00/month would be more effective. I supp**** my credit card details as automatic billing this was part of the agreement for the promotion.The budget was increased to R5000.00/month shortly thereafter with promises of greater keyword cover.<br> <br> I have since discovered that in the last 2 months I am being billed on 2 x R 5000.00 per month! Double what we had agreed upon. I called the Google accounts people and they said sorry you're on Automatic Payments so whenever your account hits R 5000.00 for the amount of hits on your keywords you get debited! Effectively they could debit me R5000.00 per day if we had sufficient hits. A call to my bank (Nedbank Mastercard) requesting a refund on the unauthorised spend proved fruitless as I had given my card details to Google.<br> <br> I have now suspended my campaign with Google Adwords and ask that people be aware that Adwords will do exactly as they wish with your credit card.
