Google ads that I didn't ask for bugging me a million headaches

Google ads does not give me the option to switch it off. It just pops up on my phone while I'm in the middle of using an app and this si the most irritating experience so far this year. I really really hate it. Please help me stop this and please ask them not to disable my account as a way to punish me.
