Shocking attitude and no one takes responsibility

<p>I purchased a tyre for my car which is a 3 year old Audi Q3, after the advice from the staff and Goodhope Tyres and against my own better judgement i agreed to put on a Dunlop tyre. HUGE MISTAKE! The tyre was at a cost of +/- R3500 (this is for one tyre) </p> <p>A few months after the tyre was fitted i started hearing a sound coming from that wheel, on inspection it was discovered the tyre has a flat spot. </p> <p>After speaking to the Owner, Oscar at Goodhope tyres he asked me to go to the Dunlop factory in Montague gardens so that they could inspect it which i did, a few days later i recieved a report from them stating that this is not a manufactors problem and it is not covered under there warentee, further to that he also stated that the tyre had a punture that had been fixed. Now i know for a fact that since my tyre was resplaced at no stage did i get a puncture. This obviously leads one to believe that a second hand tyre was fitted on my car. However how could i ever prove that?</p> <p>After months of fighting and being pushed from pillow to post they have said that they are not prepared to assist with the tyre and it is not covered under there warentee. According to them the flat spot has been brought about by mechanical or suspension problem on vehicle, shock wear due to defective shocks and misalignment. </p> <p>My question to them was if this is the case why has it not happend to any of the other tyres on my car?</p> <p>I also had all of the above tested at Audi as per Goodhope Tyres request and it all came back negative and teh car was in perfect order. </p> <p>I would strongly recommend that if you are looking at using ANY GOODHOPE TYRE outlets you turn around and leave befor you part with any of your hard earned cash!!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
