Goodhope Tyres issued me with wrong tyres and refuse changing them.

I went to the above branch on the 20th of March to look for tyres for my vehicle (BMW F30, 320D, 2012 model). Upon arrival it was pointed out to me that I had incorrect rear tyres which were 225/…/18’s, then I remembered after they told me my rims were narrow and wides then we agreed that I needed 235/…/18’s and a quotation was done in those. After that I agreed on the 235/…/18’s. I was then told they needed to be fetched somewhere and me and my friend waited for about an hour for them to arrive.

I had already made a PayJust Now payment before the tyres were fetched.

On the arrival of the tyres they got fitted while me and my friend went to get something to eat.

When we came back I was issued the invoice and the tyres were already fitted and we left.

Fast forward to weeks later I was driving towards a bend on an incline and suddenly my car just refused to accelerate and the traction control notification came up on my display. I did not make much of it but then something similar happened again and this time I thought maybe tyre pressure was not enough. Then when I went to check and the garage I discovered the pressure was enough but upon checking the tyres I realised a 245/…/18 tyres were fitted and those tyres are not compatible with my vehicle.

I then contacted the branch and to summarise it they accused me of requesting a 245/…/18 and upon requesting a head office number they gave me a number of the Bergvliet branch and I spoke to Junaid and Abdu Kader who mentioned a few things I did not agree nor ever request. Briefly I was told I was gonna be contacted by them which never happened.
