****roach express on Golden Arrow
Bus 4236 travelling from Cape Town to Merrydale swarms with roaches. The drivers insists that the bus is fumigated but travelling inside the bus its evident that it is not!!! Come on Golden Arrow clean up your busses!! This is a paid for service and you do not give a hoot about your clients!

****roaches are a problem throughout the Western Cape at the moment because of the heat - they love the buses because there are nice spaces for them to hide and passengers leave their food and drinks lying around when they depart which is pretty much a ****roach feast. Golden Arrow finds the presence of ****roaches and any other vermin on our buses unacceptable. To this end we comprehensively fumigate all our depots and buses. In summer we arrange for additional fumigations at regular intervals as an additional preventative measure. If a complaint about ****roach infestation on a particular bus is received between the fumigation periods, that bus is immediately pulled out of the system and fumigated again.
It is also important to note that a major contributor to the ****roach outbreak is the heatwave that is experienced in many parts of the Peninsula especially in the summer months - this has been confirmed by the health department. Passengers can assist us in eradicating this problem more effectively by removing any food and beverages brought onto the bus when they disembark.
I will ask the engineering department to have the bus refumigated.
