Ridiculously crowded, queues and more queues!!!!

We took a day off work to take our kids to Gold Reef City on Wed, 7 October 2015. Although we knew it was public school holidays, we thought that during the week it would still be OK and we would get to go on some rides at least. We arrived at 09h30 and after waiting for 1.5 hours in the entrance queue, paying R560 to go in (2 thrill rides, 1 non rider, 1 kiddie rider), we finally entered and walked straight to the Log Ride, where we queued for another 1.5 hours. We eventually got on the ride (our first ride) at 12h30, 3 hours after arriving there. By then it was lunch time, another queue at Anat to wait for lunch. Then off to the Anaconda, and another 1.5 hours in that queue. After that, we went to buy water in the of the little shops, and guess what? Yet another long queue to buy water. I am MOST DISGRUNTLED at this extremely selfish set up that Gold Reef City has going. It is such a lovely venue and day out, but with the ludicrous prices to get in, the ludicrous queues, you spend 80% of your day just waiting in queues in the hot sun. Really Gold Reef City, stop ripping the public off and PUT A LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE YOU ALLOW IN! SIS ON YOU ALL!!!!! SORT IT OUT!!!
