Gold Reef Casino - Disappointment as a Frequent Patron

My partner and I are regular patrons of the GRC casino. We go to the movies, bowling, go to restaurants and are frequent players at the casino. It has become a favorite pass time for us as it is one of the closer casinos. However, I noticed a few things that has fully disappointed me as a GRC patron. It started with staff being unhelpful or sometime rude. I understand we can't be happy all the time but being polite won't hurt. But standing screaming and talking while making customers wait, is unacceptable on all levels. Then the food from Pavillion isn't the same, the lamb curry is mostly fat and is so spicy we can't really eat it or when we get meal tickets, the queue is so long as there is chatting and arguing with customers over drinks. I even suggested to the lady behind the counter, get menus or print what can be ordered or not so that there isn't the constant backlog, of which she seemed annoyed at me speaking about escalating it. Coming from a family where we have a lot of "gamblers" I see the difference with the free play and payouts. Even though I'm a frequent visitor and player, I don't "big money" gambler. I would get R100 Freeplay, whereas my relatives who are also frequent but high players get thousands in Freeplay. With the table players getting more than machine players even if we spend the same monetary value. It has become so obvious that the machines are set as the same people constantly hit jackpots whereas some don't. With the draws, the high spending players and those mostly from the Prive are winning the cars and big jackpots. It's sad that we all come to experience and enjoy the "gamble" of maybe hitting it big but once again the inequality of the big players winning compared to the small patrons that don't have the 1000s or hundreds of 1000s to play are as fortunate. So is the casino just there for the rich???

Before you mention Machines or cards aren't set, I was there when a door under the Money Link machine opened and fell on a patron's foot. The manager and first aider attended to him, took pictures, etc and when confirmed he was ok. He hit 4 jackpots on that machine in a space of 60mins.
His comment as he laughed, "They don't want me to sue, so they paying looks like I'll get the 'GRAND'." In my time there he got the MAJOR, MEGA, MINOR & MINI and in all honesty we were waiting for the Grand to fall as my partner and I should in awe that from R100+ he was on R20000+.

To add to my disappointment, we went to GRC on Saturday evening. Yes, I don't expect to win (I understand standards, etc however our profiles are still on the system) but it's an enjoyable outing for my mom and partner. Anyhow we went to Pavillion to order food, my mom wanted a wors roll which was at 7pm on the 29/6/24. The ladies on duty argued with me, when I asked for a wors roll and chips. So my partner got upset and he confronted them of always complaining to assist or making us wait to be served. Simple enough you think instead they all 3 walked away and went to the back while the queue was right around the bar. Eventually my family, and 2 other groups in the queue went to Nandos for dinner. Absolutely unsetting and disappointing that arrogance, rudeness and utter disrespect to customers are still allowed. Speaking to them, they experienced the same arrogance.
There should be more managers on the floor on weekends as there is no one to complain to.

Just noted GRC didn't have the decency to reply to my complaint on the 1st. But shows the arrogance filters down and is accepted
