South Africans Beware of GoDaddy.com

Think twice before using an international behemoth for your local web hosting. Biggest mistake of my life. Shocking that his company is even in business. If you are South African, trust my stay away from GoDaddy as far as possible.

I have had nothing but issues with GoDaddy. First the accidentally "lost" 7 of my websites hosted with them. Had 21 days downtime before I decided to give up. They never resolved my issue to date. I spent literally 1000 minutes on the phone with them over 3 weeks. They simply say sorry, they don't know where my sites are or why they not working... Every time you speak to them they say 48 hours. After 48 hours they say 48 hours, etc. Seems like they lost the databases on their end and did not know how to retrieve them.

Now I have been trying to transfer my last domain away from GoDaddy. They are not accepting the transfer request. It's now 2 weeks and they still not accepting. It's because they know the site renews at the end of the month and they are deliberately delaying to ****** money from me.

Avoid GoDaddy!
