Don't use Go Daddy - poor service when there are problems

Years ago 2012 when GoDaddy started out they provided good platforms and service better than most countries and competitors. Now it’s a massive company that provides poor service outside USA, I think now even Afrihost would provide a better service than GoDaddy, at lease you can call them and they speak English albeit a long phone wait. I recently tried to migrate some GoDaddy domains to a different Go Daddy account and it was a nightmare, what should have been something simple taking 12-24 hours took a week and emails were lost and even now 2 months later I’m still now not receiving all my emails, they don’t upgrade their systems well. You constantly have to call them and they provide you a person in India or Bulgaria etc whom struggle with English because its their 2nd language, you end up resorting to primary school English and then they get impatient with you. One GoDaddy guy in Bulgaria told me to do some actions to my account after I’d migrate to fix the problem, after that I lost my email and the next agent based in India told me it was wrong and I had to pay something else to get my account migrated, I didn’t understand, I paid as I was desperate to get my email back. If you have a choice, use another provider as GoDaddy isn’t even fami**** with South African domains and constantly blocks emails etc it sucks up all your time with endless hours on the phone with their poor English speaking personal spread across the globe, cheaper for them but time consuming and a nightmare for GoDaddy clients. If you want good English, hire from English speaking countries. With regards to their costs, years ago GoDaddy would quote an annual fee and work with their client and charge monthly fees as they provided the service, I set up a new domain end of last year and without any advance notice they took the full annual fee from my credit card (a year of advanced payment) they want to be paid in advance by a year for services they’ve not even yet provided, that’s ridiculous! They get away with it on a global platform as who is going to chase them in their USA jurisdiction, let alone be fami**** with the consumer rights and legislation they should be complying, they rip their international clients because they can. Use any other host, keep away from GoDaddy is my advice. I’m trying to work out now hot to get off GoDaddy to Cloudways.
