Vehicle wrongly advertised as a starter by GoBid
I won a bid for a vehicle which was wrongly advertised as a starter by GoBid. The employees of GoBid Bloemfontein told me straight that the vehicle never started since it came to their yard. I raised the issue since 5th December 2023 and GoBid has been ignoring my emails until Steven responded on the 14th December 2023 . Steven told me that the matter has been escalated to the senior management and he will come to me as soon as possible. However, he never come back to me and I have been sending emails to Gobid but they are ignoring my emails.
I have diagnostic test report of the vehicle and I sent it to Gobid.
Despite trying to resolve this issue amicably, GoBid is ignoring my emails. Before I make the payment GoBid used to respond to my emails within 30 minutes but after making the payment they are no longer responding to my emails.
I commented on their Facebook about this issue and they deleted my comment.
I have evidence to whatever I wrote in this review.
-
- All vehicles are sold as “Motor Salvage”, irrespective of their condition, and therefore sold “as is”.
- Bidders may view all vehicles online at www.gobid.co.za. Viewing is a free service, and bidders do not need to register in order to view any items for sale.
- When any vehicle shows "Starter" or “Asset Starts = yes” indicator, this means the vehicle started when we received the vehicle, and due to various factors, and more commonly because vehicles stand for long periods awaiting registration papers, may not start when you collect the vehicle.
- We encourage all buyers to visit our premises to inspect the vehicle should they be unsure before making a purchase.
