Taking ownership of car delay

It is always helpful to read the terms and conditions of GoBid as they get updated regularly. Failure to do that you'll be asking for trouble. They sell the cars as is. The onus is on the buyer to ascertain the condition of the car via car verticals etc.

I bought my first car through them last year and a recently this past Thursday. There are bargains to be found on the website BUT my gripe with them is that they remove the plate and disc from the cars immediately when you collect the car. I bought a starter car which can drive but I can't bring it home as it has no registration or identification. I'm based in Polokwane but the car is in Cape Town. I can't bring it home till I get the registration papers from them. If they could provide temporary papers or not remove the disc and plates then any fines incurred during the ownership change process, I as the buyer will be liable for those costs.

I think this will be fair comparing to 7 to 10 days waiting for the papers to come through. I think they must think through this.
