False Advertising

This is the worse place to buy a car. They are ****ming people out of their money. On the 14th of July 2026 we bought a 2018 Ford Focus Ecoboost 1.0t car on Gobid online auction it was stated that the car is a starter. On the 16th of July 2026 we went to collect the car at the Springs branch. The battery that was in the car did not work meaning the car did not start there. Gobid loaded the car on the trailer and we left. When we got home we off load the car. The next morning we started to inspect the car and we noticed it was missing an Alternator. We went Saturday to Welkom to go look for an alternator and some other parts that the car needed. We also had to order a tensioner and tensioner pulley as well as a fan belt. After we put those parts in there was still no luck with the car starting. We then towed the car to a mechanic and told him what was happening on further inspection it was noticed that there was no crank shaft sensor and the timing was out by far. The mechanic ordered a new sensor and put it in he also fixed the timing issue. With still no luck of the car starting. Spark plugs were also changed , the mechanic then asked another guy to come and plug his computer in on the car to see what it shows was the fault. Everything was showing fine on the computer and the guy said it must be a mechanical fault. The mechanic tried to start the car again but this time he tested the compression and noticed that the compression is too low and that means that the engine is blown. The mechanic did write a report for us stating that there is no way the car could have started if there was no crank shaft sensor and when the timing is out as well as the problem with the compression. This is false advertising from their side. Yes you can go look at the car but we are 291km from Gobid Springs and people rely on what they are advertising. We did go and see a lawyer he did send 2 letters to them already and still we haven't heard a word from them. We just want our money back so they can come and collect the car. That was hard earned money that we used to start our business with. I really think Gobid must be investigated. They are ****ming people.
