Disgusting experience buying from GoBid

I purchased a vehicle from GoBid early last year for R130,000.00. I spent R50,000.00 to fix some issues (no body control module, had to re-wire and re-programme it, had to install new fan and fan speed sensor, new water bottle because the bottle had a leak, new air vents, re-filled the aircon gas and it just leaked out and aircon pump doesn't work). The head was skimmed and the block was aluminium welded but this vehicle is still not fixed because the head is still an issue and no mechanic is able to sort it out. The airbags had deployed in a previous accident and seat belts are jammed and the engine light and airbag light is on.

Also the vehicle cradle is slightly bent.

This vehicle has only done just over 1000km since I got it and most of the mileage was done by mechanics testing it. I am not able to even do 10km without the engine overheating.

I contacted GoBid to ask them what they would offer and they offered R65,000.00 subject to inspection.

I will never buy from GoBid every again.

GoBid advises all our customers to view vehicles in person before purchasing them, as is a standard in our industry, specifically when purchasing anything on auction. That way you can fami****ise yourself with the condition of the car before you purchase it.

GoBid sells motor salvage and is not a used car dealership. Vehicles are in various states, and most need repair to be in a working condition.
