I have no words

I have had the worst possible experience since Autopage transferred their customers to Glocell. I was an Autopage customer for 15 years and had 3 lines (2 for data and 1 phone line) - all month to month as the upgrade date for all of them was April 2015! Mid March I notified them (as Autopage refused to take my call) that I wanted to cancel my 2 data lines at the end of April (6 weeks notice!) but keep my phone line active. 3 phone calls and 3 email follow ups later, I eventually got the forms, completed them and faxed them back. One data line was finally cancelled mid May, the other still has not been canceled. But the real cherry on top has been that 3 weeks ago, without any request or paperwork from my side, they canceled my phone line and moved me to prepaid (the one I kept specifying that I wanted to keep as is!). This of course happened while fetching my children from school on a Friday afternoon - and of course there was nothing they could do as it was a Friday afternoon. So, after much frustration and cursing, I bought prepaid data and calls and decided to live with it - but asked them to open up the emergency calling feature on prepaid as I was NOT a new customer, had not requested to move to prepaid and did not see why I have to be a prepaid customer for 6 months to be eligible when I have had a postpaid account that has been managed perfectly for 15 years. This past Wednesday night, the specialist consultant (Hayley) they assigned to my case 6 weeks ago (with profuse apologies and promises to resolve my request to cancel the 2 data lines ASAP) sent an email saying I definitely cannot have emergency calling access, but she has now asked for me to be moved back to a postpaid contract ASAP. I rep**** immediately that I did not want them to change anything on my phone line again - as it would invariably result in my line being affected at an inconvenient time and I had 2.4GB of prepaid data and a couple of hundred rands of prepaid airtime left which I did not want to lose. Well, lo and behold - yesterday - again while collecting my children from school, I see I have no service on my phone. I cannot contact anyone, so sit at the school getting more and more frustrated -and rushed to my home phone when I got home to get hold of my "friendly consultant" to ask her what was going on, and it turns out they again (without my permission, consent or any prior notification to me) decided to cut my SIM card off the network, as the start of the process to move me back to postpaid. She promised to sort it out (heard that before!) - and then at 16:15 I get a call from a gentleman in their IT dept saying I need to go to a Cell C store to buy a new SIM as the other one has now been "recycled", so cannot be used for prepaid or postpaid! Unbelievable! But, because I want to resolve this ASAP, and am trying desperately to get my phone working again (I am expecting some urgent calls and feel unsafe as a female with kids with no phone for emergencies), I drive to the shops and purchase a new SIM, rush home to my landline again to give him all the details, and he eventually says it's too late - they can only reactivate my line first thing this morning. Well, I'm still waiting - my line has now been disconnected for 23 hours now!!!

What I really cannot understand is how they cannot terminate the lines I have asked them to terminate - even with all the necessary paperwork - yet have twice terminated the line I asked them to maintain as it has always been - without any paperwork or request from my side? It's like they do the exact opposite of what you ask them to! I think they wake up and decide each day how best to mess up/upset their customers lives...

And finally, they are not able to send my my invoices and April usage information - and it's now the end of May! ***??

I have copied numerous of the senior managers/directors on my various challenges - but they don't even bother to reply.

Whatever Glocell paid for the Autopage book is a real waste of money - as they are going to lose all those customers anyway as they have no clue what they are doing. Cell C is going to lose a lot of business from this - I wonder if they realize yet just how bad their choice of "service" provider is!
