From R350 per month with Autopage to R6000 per month with Glocell

I had a Cell C contract with Autopage. In April Glocell took over Cell C contracts from Autopage. From the word go I had problems with Glocell. And from the first problem I encountered with them, I e-mailed them about these problems, the first e-mail being sent in April. To date I have had no replies on any of my e-mails. My debitorder is set for the 15th of the month. My last payment with Autopage was on the March 15th. On the April 15th, no debitorder went off and I should just say here, that prior to that, I received sms message from Glocell, which informed Autopage clients that they should only start paying Glocell at the end of April. As the debitorder did not go off on the April 15th and I did not receive a statement for that month, about which I e-mailed them, with no luck, I presumed that payment on the May 15th will include this payment. Then the debitorder did go off on the April 19th, but then there were no funds available for the debitorder. I was notify by sms to make this payment manually and it supp**** the e-mail ********** where I should send proof of payment. I did this immediately, but on May 14th, my service was suspended. I then phoned Glocell about this and the agent said I was not suppose to send proof of payment to that address, but to ********** I asked her to stay on the line till she received my proof of payment, otherwise it would not have received attention, as with other e-mails. As I thought it was going to happen, on the 15th of May I was debited for this amount as well as the new amount.I wrote to them, but of course, no reply. According to my calculation, I now had a credit and correctly so, my next statement showed a zero balance. This meant that I did not owe anything on the June 15th, but low and behold, on the 15th of June, my account was debited with R525.91. Where did this amount come from? I immediately wrote to Glocell, but to no avail. I received a zero balance statement and the amount was much more than I have ever had to pay while still with Autopage. I have wifi at home and use the Cell C data only as default. Furthermore, my contract with Autopage was for 1G capped data, with the option for more data, should I require it. This contract is only for my tablet, so I don't even use it for my cellphone!! This caused me to ask my bank to re-write this amount. Soon after, on 6 July, I received a telephone call from a Glocell agent. I could not make out what the man was telling me and I told him so. I thought the call was about the the re-written payment and I tried to explain the situation to him, but eventually I gave up and told him I could not hear what he was saying. If Glocell listens to their call recordings, they will hear this. After this call, my service was suspended. As I am not in a position to phone Glocell all the time, I decided to leave it at that until I receive my next statement, in order for me to see for myself what was going on. Unfortunately the statement went into my spam and I had to see to family matters, so imagine my shock when on July 15th I was debited with a whopping amount of R6856.93!!! This was impossible. As I have said, I have wifi at home and in all the time I was with Autopage, my monthly average was about R350. On Saturday 16 July I phoned Glocell. The agent was adement that this was what I owed. I told her about my average with Autopage and that I had capped data, to which she rep**** that when Glocell took over the Autopage clients, all contracts changed to uncapped data. I told her this was impossible, because, when Autopage informed me about the takeover, they said that nothing would change. I told her that I was going to declare a dispute with Glocell and asked her where I should send it. She gave me the general e-mail address, ********** in which by now I had no faith. She also promised to send me a data validation statement, in order for me to see how the data was spend. (This is not the itimised billing statement, this shows one with who you were connected when spending data). She told me that I will receive it within 24 hours, but seeing that it was Saturday, to give it time untill Mobday the 18th of July. As I should have known, to date, 10th of August, I have received nothing. On the 21st of July, I sent an e-mail to the address provided, stating all the above and to declare my dispute. On the 28th of July, after taking time to scrutinize the itimised billing, I sent this same e-mail and added to that, that on the last two itimised statements, I have picked up that in the middle of the night, high volumes of data is used. According to this, I hardly ever sleep! This can absolutely not be correct, as I seldom, if ever, use my tablet at that time of night. And I am the only person in my household. Of course to date I had no reply to this matter. As I have previously indicated, my service was suspended on July 6th and I have not used the Cell C service since then. Never the less, I received a statement August 1st, according to which I have used data until July 20th. Believe it or not, and even though the service was suspended from July 6th, I have run up a bill of R1906.83!! I do not know what to do about this, as I am certainly not respossible for this mess. My total outstanding amount is now R8763.76. I am not in the least in a financial position to cover this and even if I was, I would not have done so. I have read on the Hellopeter forum that there are other disgruntled Autopage clients, who had the exact same experience with outrageous data usage. Glocell is so incompotent. They have to sort out this problem immediately.
