Free msc cruise promotion fail

I took a contract with Glocell in April 2016 which entitled me for a free msc cruise. I filled instructions and registered and waited patiently to call TLC in November 2016. I contacted TLC and received an email stating "congratulations on being one of the selected to go on a cruise to nowhere". I filled in all details and sent through to TLC. After no response, I receive an email stating no cruises available and alternative holidays were available. Glocell there after sent a newsletter stating there where cruises available and a former should be filled by the 30th November 2016 to "secure your cruise to the value of R8000". I followed all instructions and again nothing happened only to get an email stating a discount on my account.

I am disappointed and unhappy with this service, I either want my msc voucher to book directly with msc or want to terminate my contract. I did not ask for a credit on my account, all I wanted was what I signed up for and that was a free msc cruise.

Good day Denisha,

Thank you for your post.

We understand it is disappointing and apologize for this. We must clarify however that GloCell has honoured the Cruise Promotion, in fact accommodated over 1,000 subscribers already in doing so, plus their families. We regret that despite the managing agent’s reassurances that there would have been more than enough capacity of promotional TLC/MSC Cruises, it turns out that these have subsequently been depleted. Part of the promotional conditions was that this was subject to promotional availability, as a result GloCell has provided the R8,000 Discount however if you still feel that cancelling is the route you wish to take, we will forward your request to our Cancellations Department.

Warm Regards

The GloCell Team
