APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VW GLEN ARE ******

I would not recommend buying a new car from VW The Glen, the after care customer service is really bad and they sell faulty vehicles. I purchase a brand new VW Polo GTI 2021 model from them, from day 1 there was an error message that the front sensors were not working, I was told it was a minor issue, they would just need to change the part, they changed the sensor but the problem was still there.

Then I was told two weeks after taking ownership of the car that they would need to strip the vehicle to find the problem. They eventually found the problem, apparently VW drilled into a wire when installing the number plate. When I told them I am not happy and wanted the vehicle changed, I was told to contact VW SA, of which I received no assistance they just refer me back to the dealership. A week after the fault was fixed the error message came back this time the whole senor system and cruise control was not working. Took the vehicle back to the dealership, after the Service Manager fumbling and saying there is a bug in computer box, there is an error with a cable, he eventually called me later that day and said I submerged the car in water and damaged the PDC computer box trying to insinuate that I was negligent.

When I picked up the vehicle later that afternoon the technician admitted the PDC computer box was installed in an unusually low position in the fender therefore when it rained water hit it and therefore it got damaged. Now they they trying to charge me to fix the problem even though I have a 3 year /30 000km warranty. The Dealership Principle (Suran) and Service Manager (Brandon) are very ************,

I have told them a number of times I do not want this defective vehicle but they have been misleading and stringing me along. Now since I am taking them to the Ombudsman they trying to make it seem like these issues with the vehicle is my fault and trying to get me to pay to replace this PDC computer box, which was installed by VW in a place where water can damage it. The reality is that their technicians and management don't know what they doing and keep guessing to what is the problem.

The customer service and treatment of customers by management specifically is really appalling. If you buy a vehicle for over R540 000 you expect some peace of mind for at the first few years at least.
