********* and deceptive attorneys
The service from both FNB and Groenewald Lubbe Attorneys over the past few months has been disappointing and *********, with both parties being unhelpful and passing the buck from one to the other. My father has been unemployed for some time and in May 2019 it came to my attention that he owes an amount on his FNB credit card. He has also been very sick the past few months and I decided that I would have to resolve the matter on his behalf. The major issue that stands out is that FNB was involved in reckless lending – they gave him credit without doing sufficient background checking. I am actually horrified by such service – this means that many people in similar situations could be given loans without a proper check. I have been trying to find some resolution to this matter but discovered that the case had been handed over to GL Attorneys – who cannot provide me with any factual information (I still don’t know what the amount is but I do know that it is increasing at an unrealistically exorbitant rate) because I have not been granted any access to information – this is due to FNB’s refusal to allow me to obtain delegation of authority. It is quite clear that GL Attorneys also do not seem to understand the concept of induplum and keep on adding interest on top of interest, as well as threatening with sheriff. The whole process has been a real nightmare because I have made my intentions to pay very clear but nobody is willing to assist me in any way; I now have no other choice but to turn to the NCR. After plenty of trips to various FNB branches and pleas for assistance, I have had no luck. It appears that FNB and Groenewald Lubbe Attorneys are unconcerned about the well-being of people and do not want to help their clients to resolve matters quickly and efficiently. I have wasted so much time in this process and it has been such a poor experience that I can only ask “How can they help you?” and respond with “they cannot”.
