Report These Underhanded Attorneys to the Law Society
My advice to others having problems with this company is to report them to the Law Society of the Northern Province. You can contact the Society on 012- ********** . All you have to do is call in and they will email the form you need to complete. Apparently, you need to try and resolve it with the attorneys first so that's what this review is about.
When I have my answer here, I will file my complaint.
TO GROENEWALD LUBBE
I am getting ready to file my complaint against you with the Law Society, but they insist that I must get an explanation from your company first. I received the following SMS on all three of my accounts today.
"Your debit order on your FNB Credit Card has been returned unpaid R150 has been charged on your account. Contact GLA"
So I checked my bank account. The debit orders have not been returned. I called in and spoke to Patricia, understandably upset. She took offence because I called your firm ****bags and refused to assist me. Apparently in her mind "****bag" is a swear word.
When I called back, I was told by her that it was some campaign that someone sent out but I could ignore the SMS because I had paid. She told me that she didn't have to deal with me if I was being rude to her. Well, that's fine. You can now deal with the Law Society.
Obviously, this was yet another underhanded tactic by your company to get me to call in. Had I been worried and not angry, I would no doubt have been told that I had to increase my installment to get the fee reversed or something of that nature.
According to the Law Society, the SMS is at best ********* and might even be classified as harassment, since the debit order was never unpaid. Kindly provide a detailed explanation that I can provide to the Law Society. If I don't receive a satisfactory explanation by tomorrow, I will go into the bank and show you what a returned debit order really looks like.
Oh, and I've just received an SMS to say that the previous SMS was sent in error and that you apologise any inconvenience caused. That's not good enough. Should you wish to contact me in future, use my email address. I will ignore any SMS that I receive from your company in future.
Have a nice day and thanks for ruining what was initially a nice day for me. You have wasted my time, and caused me a lot of upset. Not to mention the phone calls that I had to pay for, for nothing.
Oh, and I want the full explanation on this platform, not just the standard, "We have dealt with your query."
We acknowledge your complaint lodged against our company and appreciate your feedback. We are going to investigate the matter and revert to you.
