Netstar Account Dispute & Legal Threats

I officially cancelled my Netstar service in October 2023. Despite this, I continued to be charged monthly. I contacted Netstar multiple times, but they insisted that payments were still due. I escalated the matter to First for Women, and after reviewing call recordings, they confirmed that my entire account – including Netstar – had indeed been cancelled as requested.

Despite this confirmation, Tracker continued to debit my account each month. Each time, I had to reverse the transaction, incurring R45 in bank charges per reversal. This has placed an enormous financial strain on me.

To make matters worse, I was retrenched in June 2023. I provided the necessary documentation to inform Tracker of my financial hardship, including proof of retrenchment, yet the debits and harassment persisted. During this time, I had no fixed residence and was living in my car for six months before eventually moving in with a friend.

I have now been handed over to GLA Attorneys. According to them, they are unable to contact me, claiming I don’t answer my phone. However, the contact number they use is constantly unavailable, and the email address included in their SMS notifications is incorrect. I have submitted a callback request through their website, but I have yet to receive any response—only more threatening messages.
