Horrific and unnecessary Charges

I had a temp loan with FBN which I defaulted and was handed over to Groenewald for recovery. I made payment arrangement which I should be done paying shortly.

Of recent, I requested a summary of a statement from them and I was shocked to learn that I am being charged for system generated sms that are sent to me as a reminder to pay while I have already paid. I am being charged for calls that I made to and they place the calls on my statement as an expense they need to recover while I carried the cost of the call. They charge me for reminders that they send while my account is up to date.

I have continuously requested for this to be rectified and however, I find no Joy from the employees there. Now I have to request for a statement every month double check charges and ask them to reverse the charges and they will later add on an admin fee or a fee for emailing me a statement for their error.

What I know is that the capital balance plus the interest should be charged unless I default then any charges for following up must be carried by me either than that anything else is not for my account however they keep adding these small fees and fail to respond to my emails.

I suggest that anyone with any accounts being handled by Groenewald scrutinize their statements properly and seek legal advice if need be.

Hopefully the credit ombudsman will be able to help me with this battle.
