Charging penalty for settling account

I called this company to find out my outstanding balance and I was told in August that it was R7960, I made payments from August to September of R770 which amounts to R2310, I called to ask how much is still outstanding and to my surprise I still owed R6970 because they decided to charge me a settlement amount should I pay the account off once, I mean are they trying to say do not settle your account to avoid paying more? I spoke to Jozi Goliath who was rude when I was questioning my balance and charges because I requested to be removed from the sms's and emails in August but they do not want to remove the charges even though I have evidence on email. I am being charged for calling them and requesting for a balance. How is one suppose to get back to a good financial status if this company wants to milk me off the last cents I am trying to make to close the account. You are *****
