Unprofessional, disrespectful and disappointing.
I had an extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience. I was looking to buy a vehicle and saw a suitable one on the GetWorth website. I immediately inquired online and submitted my documents for finance, as I would have preferred to finance the vehicle rather than pay cash, as it would protect my cashflow. I knew that financing might be a problem because I am self employed and don't earn a set salary, with most of my cash flow running through my business accounts. I have financed a much more expensive car this way in the past by explaining the documents and situation properly to the financing department so that it gets submitted correctly. I phoned GetWorth the next day, as I haven't heard anything. I told the receptionist what car I was interested in and she assured me it was available and I could just come to the warehouse to view it and test drive it. I was there within the next hour, where I first struggled to get someone's attention to assist me. After viewing the vehicle, I was assisted by sales consultant Jadee with a test drive. I told her that I would take the car and asked how long it would take to approve the finance. She said that if I had submitted it already, I should hear back that day, and I asked to speak to the financing lady, Vanessa, to explain the situation to her. She gave me her business card and said she would phone me that same afternoon to give feedback. Later that afternoon, when I was back home, I got an email from a lady named Janine, also from Get Worth, to tell me the car has been sold already. I was quite confused, so I phoned Vanessa, because I had het number on the business card. She assured me that the vehicle is not sold and was still available, but that she has gotten a decline on my financing application. She said she'll submit the application to anther Bank and call me in the morning to give feedback. I then told het that I can pay a much larger deposit, if that would help the financing, but she didn't respond. The next day, I sent her several messages to ask for feedback, and if I could pay more cash to secure the deal. I got no response, so I phoned the office four times throughout the day to ask to speak to either Vanessa or Jadee, but was told each time that they are not available, but that they will phone me back shortly. That never happened. I tried to phone Vanessa again on het cellphone, but she declined my call. In the mean time, I got another email from Janine to say that the car is indeed sold. At that stage I was highly frustrated and confused and felt that I was deliberately being ignored. I then phoned Janine on the cell number at the bottom of her email to try and get a better understanding of what was going on and why Vanessa and Jadee has been avoiding or ignoring me. Janine got Jadee on the phone (who was all of a sudden available to talk) who then told me that the finance declined, which she could've told me the previous day already, upon which I was more than ready to pay a large deposit or buy the car cash. She then also informed me that the car has been sold to someone else in the meantime, but they did not have the decency or professionalism to phone me and inform me of any of this. I felt that I was being discriminated against because I am young and they might not have taken me seriously, or because my finance initially declined, even though I tried very hard to reach them in order to rather pay cash, but was ignored. I don't know if the above-mentioned is is the reason for their shocking lack of standard professionalism, or if they are simply *********** and unprofessional as a rule. This is extremely poor customer service and I would not recommend dealing with Get Worth if you value being treated professionally and with dignity.
