Unfair consumer practice

Good day,

I purchased a vehicle from getWorth and after 6 weeks the o2 sensor of the vehicle failed. Under the CPA they have to repair or replace the failed part as a defect has occured within a 6 month period. Opel Middelburg quoted me R11 000 for this repair. getWorth responded that they will not repair it as it is out of their 30day or 3000km guarantee.

Their 30day guarantee is contracting out my rights under the Consumer Protection Act. It is also contereving it.

Their customer service is very poor with regards to this matter and they know thay they are wrong.

Dear Ashton,
We've discussed the issue with you at length and despite the vehicle still being under warranty at the OEM, we've offered to accommodate you and contribute to the repairs. We respect the rights of all our clients and will support any process they wish to take to resolve a dispute fairly.
