They make fun and laugh at their clients.
I bought a car at the Richmond branch but the experience was an utter disaster from the start right to the very end. If you're looking for a pleasant buying experience when purchasing a car, go elsewhere!
They only got the sale because I knew exactly what I was looking for and I pushed the entire process along. Here's my experience as brief as possible:
1) I liked a Tiguan on their website but i needed one with a towbar. I called in to ask a salesman to confirm if the vehicle i was interested in had one because it wasn't visible on the pics. He didn't know but said he would call me back. 2 days passed, nothing. I then used their online query form to ask them same question, someone called me back but still didnt have the answer, he too said he would call me back. Nothing for 3 days (I explored other options during this time). Eventually I called back and waited for the saleswomen to psychically check while i waited on the call. She CONFIRMED that it did and that's all it took for me to decide that I wanted to view. She told me that I needed to pay a holding deposit if i wanted to be first in line as there were other interested parties. I was also told to apply online for the car to get the process going. No problem! Asked her to send the banking details after the call.
2) It took 4 hours of me constantly following up just to receive the banking details. I used e-mails, whatsapp helpline (which is still unread) and phone calls to try and get it. This was then my first encounter with the brash and unprofessional Badhia. She repeatedly used aggressive language and tone while addressing me and kept telling me she sent the details but nothing would appear . She also put me 'on hold' but I could hear her having small talk with her colleagues for 5mins and wouldn't transfer me to the saleswomen who helped me. IMAGINE! Eventually she told me not to pay the deposit because I was coming to the dealership to view the car later that day.
3) Upon arrival this lady then confronted me asking "who said you mustn't pay the deposit, it wasn't me" in a very condescending tone. WHAT??? I ignored her and proceeded to view and test drive. I was happy with the vehicle and paid the holding deposit on-site the same day. Finance had been approved by that time too but the installment amount didn't match the interest rate, so I couldn't put my deposit down until that was clarified.
4) Once this was clarified the following week, it took another 2 days to get the paperwork to sign for the vehicle. My saleswomen then gave me an ETA on when I could take delivery and would update me on any changes. She didn't at all. Only when i made contact with her, did she provide feedback. Gave me the ol 'I was just about to call you'...
5) TODAY was the straw that broke the camels back. My wife went to collect the license plates for our new car. MULTIPLE staff members felt it was OK to laugh at my wife because our surname is Payne. She could hear them saying the surname in the office and jiggling and one even asked her with a smirk on her face if that's the surname.
I feel this shouldnt even happen to prospective customers, let alone ACTUAL clients. I'm absolutely gutted that we supported this unprofessional establishment. I've never experienced such pathetic customer service and while i bought a luxury car, the buying experience was absolutely terrible. They are so lucky that they had the car/spec I was looking for this time.
