No assistance, No Care !

Received my new vehicle on 16 Dec 2023, and in less than 48 hours I found myself in an extremely inconvenient situation.

On 18 Dec 2023 I went away on vacation and decided to drive the car on the open road as one usually would. During the 1h30 min drive the car died twice and needed to be jump started. Due to this I have been unable to make use of the car radio as it is locked and requires a code that I was not provided with.

Once I finally reached my destination the car died again. I then reached out to getWorth after sales team who advised that this may be battery related. The relevant representative then advised that they would look into having someone sent out to me in order to have a look at the car, which I was very impressed about only to then be told that this option is to much money for them to pay and that I will need to drive the already problematic vehicle back to the city to one of there suppliers to have it checked out.

And yet I the customer, now needs to return to Cape Town with a faulty car and indanger the lives of myself and passengers just so getWorth can save a buck! This whole experience after getting the vehicle hasn’t been great at all and the assistance I thought I would receive from getWorth was non existent and a figment of my imagination.

The effort received after this ordeal from get worth was extremely minimalist and very lacklustre, and truly put a damper on my holiday which is something I had been waiting for the entire year!

Not Happy At All!!!!

Hi Sheldon

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

After reviewing the case, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you experienced with the vehicle incident in Franschhoek. Following the incident, we received the necessary photos and videos but could not definitively diagnose the car's issue as solely a battery problem. Sending a service provider without a concrete diagnosis may have caused delays. To ensure a prompt resolution, we recommended having the vehicle taken to one of our trusted suppliers for a thorough diagnosis. You agreed to jump-start the vehicle and take it to the supplier.

Upon inspection, it was determined that the issue stemmed from a corroded wiring loom affecting the battery performance. The wiring loom was repaired, and the battery was replaced.

We understand the challenges you faced and appreciate your cooperation in getting the vehicle to our supplier for assessment. During the process, we offered various solutions, including resolving the issue and returning the vehicle, providing you with an interim courtesy car, exchanging the vehicle, or utilizing our getSeven policy to return the vehicle to us. Your choice was to proceed with the getSeven.

We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process, and do apologize for the inconvenience caused.
If you have any further concerns or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Regards
The get/Worth Team
