Never again

Please see my post of 4 January 2023 regarding my trade-in experience with getWorth. Well, my experience with this organisation has become even worse. I feel compelled to warn potential buyers from getWorth to inspect vehicles very carefully, despite their claim that their vehicles go through rigorous inspection. I purchased a 2019 vehicle and took delivery of it on 29 December 2022. It was advertised “as new” and had just over 42000 on the clock. Less than a month later, I discovered rust in the well of the driver’s door. I contacted the manufacturer to establish if the corrosion warranty was still valid. I simultaneously sent a copy of my enquiry plus photographs to the sales executive at getWorth on 7 February 2023 with the request that this be escalated to senior management. I have not had the courtesy of a response of any kind from getWorth after a month. The rust was evaluated by a panel beater recommended by the vehicle manufacturer and further areas were discovered. The cost to repair the rust will be just under R15 000. Very fortunately the vehicle manufacturer will cover this cost under the corrosion warranty. So much for getWorths “rigorous inspections”. And their after sales care, not even having bothered to contact me after my e-mail to them on 7 February. Sorry, but I will never darken their doors again. It has been a bitterly disappointing experience all round.
