Flatter to deceive

I am writing to warn any prospective buyers to stay far away from this "business", you would be mistaken as if you are dealing with a government agency of a failed state.

When I was perusing for a Toyota CHR online, I found what I thought was the deal of the century on Cars.co.za. I found a white CHR with less than 20000 km mileage. I tried to wrap up the deal as fast I possibly could. At first, the service was commendable, with constant and detailed feedback. I thought not only had I found the deal of the century, but also an upright company in South Africa. I promptly paid the deposit in full and got approved for financing.

Days pass and my wife goes to collect the car, not only was the vehicle not what I had ordered and agreed to purchase, but I was also not informed about this discrepancy before I took delivery of the vehicle. I paid for a white CHR with under 20000 km mileage and received a dark grey one with over 80000 km!

I think GetWorth tried to pull a fast one on me, given that I am not based in Cape Town. Immediately, I contacted the company to demand answers from what looked like some clownish ruse. I was told that the vehicle I thought I had bought was already sold, if that is true, why was I not immediately informed and thusly refunded.

Alas, I was not informed. Maybe burrowing their heads in the sand and hoping nobody notices is part of the plan here. Who knows?

I have tried with no success to retrieve my money and for GetWorth to come to claim their vehicle without success.

To say I am disappointed would be a massive understatement, I believe that I am entitled to a full refund of the purchase price of my vehicle.

As the adage goes, 'If it is too good to be true, then it is probably *******'. That much has proved true in my case.

Thank you for the response, nice to know that you are not hiding and are aware of the situation at hand. I urge your management to expedite your investigation.

All I want is my money (R40k) back and for you to come claim the vehicle.

I am not asking you to prove Feynman's technique here.
