Delay in vehicle delivery/collection

I have seen a vehicle advertised on the Getworth website on the 22nd of July 2025. I took a chance to go and view the vehicle without appointment. When I got there , I was told that the vehicle has been sent for a service and will be returned by the 25th of July 2025. I was also told that there is another application on the vehicle , and that I will be second in line should the other buyer not go through with the purchase. I was then contacted on Monday 28 July 2025 to let me know that the vehicle is availible if I am interested. Getworth was quick to send me the documentation to sign the deal. However , this vehicle has still not returned from its service for me to view. Getworth could not give me straight answers. I was told the vehicle was at Haval for the service, upon arriving at Haval , this vehicle was not booked for service but two parts had to be replaced under warranty. I was again told that parts will arrive within 7 working days, which takes us to the 7th of August. It has been another week , and I still have to indication on when I will receive by vehicle as of 14 August 2025.

As much as the new answer from Getworth is that this is in HAVAL's hands , why has this vehicle been advertised which is clearly not ready for customer collection? As much as I have received a courtesy vehicle to get to work whilst waiting for my vehicle , it is quite frustrating to wait almost 3 weeks for a vehicle. I have further requested from the F&I department to ensure that no payment is deducted end of August, as I have still not received my vehicle , I was told that I need to sign a new contract which I am still waiting for - it has been a week.

Frustrating is a under statement with what I am feeling at the moment. There is no mention from Getworth of how they planning to rectify this or change this experience to positive feelings.

Buying a car should be joyful , and something looking forward to, Getworth has taken that joy away from me totally.

Hopefully after posting my frustration on this platform , someone will tell me when I am getting my vehicle.

Hi Reinhard Thank you for your patience while we’ve been working to get your vehicle ready for delivery. We'd like to give you a clear update on the situation. When your vehicle went in for its scheduled service at Haval, their technicians identified a fault with the electronic handbrake. As this is a warranty-related repair, they first had to submit and obtain approval for the warranty claim before ordering the replacement part. The initial estimated date provided to us by Haval was 7 August 2025, but due to parts availability this was later revised to 14 August 2025. Unfortunately, this delay is entirely in the hands of Haval and their parts supply chain, and we have no ability to expedite it from our side. We have maintained open communication with both you and Haval throughout, and you have also been in regular contact with their service advisor directly. As requested, we arranged a courtesy vehicle for you while the work is being completed.Once Haval has completed the repairs and the vehicle has passed our final checks, we will contact you to finalise the contract and arrange handover. We will send the contract the day prior to handover to avoid you having to sign multiple times. We completely understand how frustrating the delay has been, and we assure you we are doing everything possible to get your vehicle to you in the shortest time frame. Regards
The get\Worth Team
