Brilliant Service Experience at Getworth

I bought a brand new Haval H6 Luxury 4x4 earlier this year at Reeds N1 City. The price of the vehicle was significantly lower than what was offered by all of the other dealers in the Western Cape. The catch was that the trade in offer was commensurately lower too! What a quandary. So I bought the new Haval and put down a deposit, financed the rest at a really great rate with my bank, and drove away feeling quite happy with deal! But now I had to sell my 2021 model. Selling a fairly new (2021) model car, privately is a minefield, people battle with finance, they want to tyre kick and joyride, they want to haggle, expecting to get a discount of up to 30%. Quickly realised this was not for me and tried selling to a few independent dealers. Everyone is moaning about too many cars, too few buyers and they also wanted to offer around R60-R70k behind book value. So tried a few brokers who offer the cars to dealers via online timed auctions - worse offers than when I approached dealers myself. So off I went to WeBuyCars. The most unfriendly, disrespectful service. Justifying their low offer by pointing out respray work that I know had not happened, because I’d had the car from new. Finally they gave me a number which I was prepared to consider and drove out of their Richmond branch feeling a little despondent.

The day before I had contacted GetWorth, not really a name I was fami**** with and had given them the info they needed. They had made an offer subject to a very detailed inspection. The offer was much higher than any previous ones and they had an “Instant” payment option and another where a perecentage was paid upfront and then a “bonus” on a sliding scale depending on how quickly the car sold. Essentially I could make another R30k if it sold in a couple of days, or lose R30k on the instant offer if it sat for 60 days - nah, not much of a gambler, me! I had opted for the “instant” offer, subject to inspection, but Michaela the young lady that I had dealt with, had had to cancel the inspection at short notice after being in a car accident and I’d not heard anything more yet. Well, as I left WeBuyCars in Richmond, I realised that Getworth were just next door, so I drove in without an appointment. Donovan Parker, their Senior Inspector made himself available to do the inspection himself while I walked around the showroom floor. Not as big as WeBuyCars, but I could immediately see that the cars they had bought into stock were lower mileage and well looked after vehicles. No WeBuy Cafe Shop here, but I was directed up to a plush customer lounge with a friendly barista who offered me a cappuccino while I waited. Charging points for phones and laptops were freely available. And within around 30 min, Donovan was back with his offer. Exactly what they had offered from the photos and info I had supp****. All the documents needed were already on hand, and within 15 minutes we had completed everything and 5 min later the money was in my account. Donovan then ordered me an Uber and we had some time to chat about his experience in the motor industry. This was really a first rate experience, a win/win, with flair and impeccable service! Thanks Donovan and Michaela, it really was a pleasure!

Wow, we are humbled and delighted about your rating. We appreciate the time taken to share your honest experience with us.

We are so pleased that you've enjoyed great service, especially from Michaela and Donovan.
We stand behind the cars we buy and sell, and therefore it is only fair to offer our customers a market-related price for their quality cars.

Thank you for your support and we hope to be of service again in the near future.
