Be on the ball with after sales issues.

I recently bought a car from getworth. The process was fairly smooth and painless and the sales rep Luchen was very helpful and he did his best to get the car in my hands under a tight timeline. Which I really appreciated.

Sadly there have been some issues with the vehicle since its purchase. On the day of collection Luchen informed me that the aircon was not working properly and would need to be serviced. So I had to bring the vehicle back after the holiday period to get this done.

Warren the after sales guy was also very helpful. He got the AC sorted as well as fixed a wheel alignment issue and a problem with the glove box as well as one of the indicator sticks.

Something I’m not so happy about is the aircon came back working but also making a very strange and noisy sound when on. I informed Warren and he told me to bring the car back to get this checked out. Apparently this is normal and there was nothing to be done about the noise. This I struggle to believe as I’ve never had a car make this noise when the AC is on. I will be taking it to a specialist to get repaired myself on my own dime.

On top of this after the wheel alignment was done, a strange clunking noise started to come from the front suspension. By the time I reported this to Warren the car was out of the 30 day guarantee period (bare in mine getworth had the vehicle for 10 days during this time and the car had not exceeded the 30000km ). So I’ve had to deal with the cost to repair this issue as well. I’m not sure if the wheel alignment was done poorly causing something to fail in the suspension or if it was just unlucky timing.

In conclusion getworth is not a bad place to buy a car. Just make sure you’re on the ball when dealing with any issues that might arise as I think management is not very lenient with the guarantee period even if they’ve had the car for several days during that period.
