Be careful when buying

We bought a Ford Fiesta from Getworth, Milnerton, in June 2024 from Keisha. Even though the sale was easy, there were 2 issues with the car that was promptly attended to.

One of the issues was the brake light not working. Initially the bulb was replaced but the fault persisted so we were directed to Best Drive and we were informed it was a loose connection.

This month, August 2025, I called Getworth as the problem was noticed again. I spoke to Robyn and after a few days was told the following: "As your vehicle is now outside both the 30-day promise and the 6-month CPA cover, we regret to inform you that we are unable to assist further on this matter."

My argument is that this is not a new matter, it was a matter that was reported before and "fixed".... I am not an electrician, but if the problem reoccurs by means of "loose connection" surely it should be investigated as to why there is a loose connection.

Their lack of concern after the 6 months is pathetic. I mean if it were a new issue I would not have reported it to them as it is new. However, this was a matter that was attended to twice.

If you do buy from them just be careful as they are probably overlooking issues and then you end up with issues like this. They could have asked us to bring the car in and then they can see what can be done, but to take no responsibility is poor service.

Good day Clinton Thank you for sharing your feedback. The brake light concern was addressed promptly after your purchase in June 2024 and resolved via an authorised supplier. No further issues were reported to us for over a year until August 2025, which suggests that the initial repair was effective for a considerable period. As this is a 2017 pre-owned vehicle, components, particularly electrical ones, can naturally experience wear over time. For this reason, neither get\Worth nor reputable workshops provide warranty cover on electrical components indefinitely. As your recent concern falls outside of all warranty time frames. We appreciate your understanding. Kind Regards
The get\Worth Team

I wouldn't consider a year a "considerable period" and obviously things won't be covered indefinitely, but surely it is covered for some period after the work is done.

I will always consult Getworth when it comes to buying my car as you give good prices, but I will definitely NOT buy or recommend anyone to buy from there.

As I mentioned, if it were a new problem I wouldn't have said anything. The reason for the light not working was a "loose connection"... How does a connection get loose, and then the problem reoccurs if that in fact is the problem?
