Bad contract documents

Their claim that one can get what your car is really worth when selling it to them is a false claim. When getting to the point of collecting my vehicle their contract to sell the vehicle by accepting a lower price now and a bonus when the car is sold, was badly worded and mentioned costs for washing the vehicle for R1950 and repairs that was not mentioned in their quote. The full details of amounts to be paid was also omitted. I had no option to accept the Cash Now option of R16 000 less than what I could expect for the Mostly Cash Now option. Be careful when selling your car to them and make sure you get the contract beforehand and checked thoroughly by a competent person.

Hi Mr. De Wet
The initial quote we sent you was a pre-inspection offer, that is subject to the final inspection of the car. On inspection, we noted the provision needed for a full valet, buff, and polish. However, this was not deducted from the original offer, and you received the full amount as per the initial quote you received.
With regards to the getMore contract, we provided you with a contract that contains all relevant details regarding the sale of the vehicle. This includes the list price, base price, fees and cash-out amount.  Once we conclude a getMore deal, we have no way of telling when the vehicle will sell. The getMore bonus amount is not a fixed amount and is dependent on what price the vehicle sells at, and how long it takes to sell.
We provided you both deal options in a transparent manner upfront, you opted for the cash-only offer and based on this decision you do not qualify for the bonus amount.
We stand by the vehicles we buy and sell and pride ourselves in our ability to provide fair, market-related offers.
We appreciate your business and feedback and wish you all the best for the year ahead.
Sincerely,
The getWorth Team
