Unacceptable Delays and Lack of Accountability

I completed the Business Analysis course with UCT via GetSmarter in November 2024. I received my final grades only on 6 February 2025, yet over a month later, I still do not have my certificate.

GetSmarter claims that certificates are issued within a week of final grades, but this is simply not true. I have followed up multiple times, only to receive vague responses with no clear timeline for resolution. This is not just my experience—many other students have also raised similar complaints.

This lack of accountability is completely unacceptable. Students invest significant time and money into these courses, expecting to receive the certification they were promised. The fact that GetSmarter continues to market these programs while failing to deliver certificates damages their credibility.

I urge UCT to intervene, as these courses are presented under their name. If GetSmarter cannot fulfill its obligations, it reflects poorly on UCT’s reputation as well.

I do not recommend GetSmarter to anyone until they address this issue and provide a clear, transparent process for certificate issuance.
