GetSmarter - STAY AWAY!

Just stay away. You won't get satisfactory support and eventually you will fall behind and fail a module or find yourself wanting to get out of the course. More often than not you will lose all your money. I spent hours and hours on emails and contacted support for a simple explanation of a graded activity on a rather advanced course. They give one-liners or two-liners as answers and were not giving support at all that was relevant to the question(s). Their written instructions are confusing and I took time to point out where the points of confusion could be found. Eventually, they just give you extensions but don't talk you through the nonsense they give out as "instructions". And an extention over the weekend is absolutely ridiculous as the tutors only work in the week! Idiotic! Even some of their own staff admitted they were not even sure about what to do. And to get hold of the tutor or the tutor's 2IC - forget it! I had to discontinue my course, because of their lack of response. and you better read their Terms & Conditions first. They take their time to give you half-baked answers on your course, but when I was still in my cancellation period, they took their time to give me a form. If you click on the form you are directed to, it is not activated. I mentioned all that as it could be a legal issue. They draw it out so that the next module gets released and then you lose all your money once the next (usually third module) opens up. Also, the time allocation per module is off. If you have a tough course and work full-time, your chances of completing the graded activities timeously become slimmer. Are these people even taken to task? Some guys on the chatbots were great but they cannot answer content questions. When I phoned in the week, the contact number starts with an automated response and then there is absolute silence. I wasted so much time with these less-than-helpful folks that could have gone into my course. They were the sole reason for my cancellation. Depends on who you deal with I suppose. Look at alternatives for other online courses like Coursera, Udemy, UP Online and a host of others online. GetSmarter must Get Smarter. So disappointed. Will not recommend them at all.
