Where were you?
Where were you when i needed you?? My daughter is coming home tomorrow from a "state hospital" because you wouldn't cover her for her hospital stay after 1 day, nor would you cover an operation. Where were you when she was diagnosed with diabetes and it was a septic appendix?Where were you when i had to pay another doctor for a 2nd opinion whom you don't cover to tell me to get her to a hospital asap?Where were you when i had to sit and listen how they worked on my child for 3 hours in a state hospital? Where are you for the more than R2700 that has to be paid to a Lawyer because you don't cover all the blood test we need for both of us? Where are you? You don't cover us for what we need when our lives are in danger. You are not there when we need you the most. I once asked one of the people at the call centre "Why do i pay you money every month if you cant pay for the basics of blood test" and she rep**** "You forget we not a medical aid we are an Insurance" The hard part is You are Not there for me nor my family.

The relevant Pathology claims were shortpaid as the blood tests performed do not form part of the formulary list, it is therefore important to confirm benefits prior to proceeding with treatment to ensure benefits are available. Once more, GetSavvi Health provides cover for basic Pathology treatment and the list of codes covered can be found in your policy document which can also be used to confirm if the treatment will be covered, the same applies for Radiology treatment.
