<p>I have been a member of this medical insurance scheme for about a year now and while with them I found that their services did not meet my requirements and decided to stop my membership last month. I communicated this to them through the phone. A month later, this insurance company is still deducting a premium from my account despite me indicating to them that I was unable to use their services because of my medical condition. They have put a process that makes the cancellation process tedious and this they do by saying that a cancellation can not be done within 7 days of the debit order. this ensures that they get the last premium without giving you cover for it. they also ensure that they do not enable you to request a cancellation by calling in but by requesting that they call you and go through the cancellation process with you. they then get smart here, they call you within the 7 day period where if you cancel they will still get away with the last premium. What worries me is that this company is supposed to offer to people services that are needed in tough times. This behavior indicates to me that they use the desperation of people to prey upon them and I am really disappointed about this.</p>
