Shocking claim process for Getsavvi Health

service absolutely shocking when it comes to claims, very quick to deduct monthly premium.

So much red tape to get them to approve a claim always something extra or this is not acceptable or need additional document.

I will most surly not recommend them to anyone and will be cancelling my policy with them, paying out of pocket for medical cover that should have been provided and now all this red tape, SO NOT WORTH IT!!!!

Good day Mr Venter

Kindly note, as discussed in the email correspondence between GetSavvi Health and yourself, detailed invoices are required in order to review, capture and process your reimbur*****t requests. This is standard procedure accross all schemes

Detailed invoices, like the one provided by yourself for Lancet Laboratories, contain all the information needed to review and capture your claim, we are therefore able to process your R1 002.00 claim as all information for this claim has been received. Receipts which you have provided does not contain the information needed. We are currently awaiting your proof of payment for the Pathology claim amounting to R2 793.00

All providers are able to provide detailed invoices which the patient may request from the provider directly, GetSavvi Health is unable to request this on members behalf due to POPIA and the protection of your personal information, the provider will email the detailed invoice to yourself directly.

Currently the below information is outstanding

* Proof of payment of R2793.00 pathology claim
* Detailed invoice of R550.00 Dr L Malanda Prac. *** claim
* Deta**** invoice of R550.00 Dr S Joseph claim
* Deta**** invoice of R500.00 Dr S Joseph claim

We will be happy to process your reimbur*****t once all required information is received

Regards
GetSavvi Health

So many times have i responded to the requests but always something els comes up that is now requested, example R2793 was done while patient was in ER, this should be covered under the stabilization cost as blood tests were requested as stipulated in the plan.

The other claims for the doctors in question has handwritten invoices i can not supply what is requested although i can supply proof of payment.

Lastly on 1 February received a text message claim received for review, no response after that received.

Good day Mr Venter

Thank you for the feedback received, we have sent the Pathology claim amounting to R2 793.00 to our Case Manager for review whereafter the claim will be captured and processed for payment to the provider directly. We apologise for the inconvenience caused

Kindly note, handwritten invoices are acceptable if all the required information reflects such as procedure codes, ICD10 (Diagnosis codes), practice details etc etc however we can confirm that the only items received are receipts and a handwritten referral note which is not acceptable for review.

The sms received by yourself relates to the claim for Dr Du Plessis and Partners for an amount of R1 841.40 which was received via email directly from the doctors rooms, the claim was reviewed and approved whereafter it was captured and is currently in process to pay to the provider directly.

All provider paid claims are paid 30 days after the treatment date, all member reimbur*****ts are processed and paid within 2 weeks of receipt of all required documents.

It is concerning that as a contributing financial member to Getsavvi Health has to go to these extremes to receive information.

The fact that hand written invoices need procedure codes to be indicated was never mentioned on the initial claims process when first submitted, the fact that ER referred the patient to a doctor and indicated the what needs to be done by the doctor and the patient visited the doctor indicated and received a handwritten invoice and proof of payment, still now the doctors invoice is not good enough.

The handwritten reversal note for the first doctor on 26/01/2022 was due to live threatening incident and the patient went to get stabilized to be able to be transported to ER, for this reason it is a reversal letter to ER and proof of payment.

I have written motivational letters before as requested by a Getsavvi health consultant at the claims department and had poor to no feedback explaining events that transpired on the day.

I am not responding to any further communication from the service supplier as this seems to be going in circles.

This is just to let other public servants investing their hard earned money in what seems to be a very good product know, once the time comes to reap the rewards of what you are paying for it seems the fine print and some no print comes back to bite you.
