Noone knows who the hell they are?!

Good day,

I am writing to express my sheer disappointment with GetSavvi Health. I needed to have a tooth removed as a result of an infection in my tooth, which caused me severe and debilitating tooth pain.

I contacted no less than 6 dentists on your list and 5 of the six dentists did not have any idea of who you were and refused to see me. Only one eventually saw me however I had to sign a documents stating that should you fail to pay I would be liable for the costs. They gave me a prescription for medication to treat the infection before I could have the tooth removed, but when I got to Clicks Pharmacy to purchase the medication with my prescription, at first they said they had never heard of Get Savvi Health and then told me that the dentist who gave me the prescription (and who was on your list online) was a listed service provider and therefore I had to pay in cash for the medication.

Further more, while at the pharmacy, I contacted GetSavvi to query why I would have to pay in cash, where I was told someone would contact me back, but no one bothered to. I waited outside the pharmacy for more than an hour and a half and no one called me back. So I waited like an idiot and in a huge amount of pain.

I then had a bad reaction to one of the medications and contacted ER24 before going to the hospital, to find out which was the nearest hospital that I could go to, as I felt very poorly and was in excruciating pain. They told me to go to Entabeni Hospital and to tell them to contact ER24 for confirmation of payment.

When I got to Entabeni, they told me they had never heard of GetSavvi Health and they called ER24 for the said confirmation, whereupon I was advised that I would have to pay in excess of R 1200.00 upfront to be seen to, which I would then be required to claim back from GetSavvi myself.

I am deeply disturbed that this has happened. How can everyone you have on your list not know who you are and how can I be required to pay for everything is cash when I have this medical insurance? What is the point of me paying this monthly then? I expect a full and detailed explanation regarding this. I now want to cancel this plan as it is of no use to me. What if I had an emergency with my 4 year old daughter? What would have become of her?

I will go to the media should I not receive a response timeously.
