Reported faulty product and got ****med.

Good Day

I ordered a motherboard online from Geewiz...3 days later received the product.

My brother whom is IT setup the product along with all the hardware and the motherboard just didn't do anything. So he told me to send it back. I had lost complete faith in the product and the supplier and told them as much and asked for a refund.

They sent the courier 3 days after request for refund to pick up the product and have it evaluated. I then sent them an email informing them that the product was picked up and inquired when my refund will be processed.

Response came back that it would take another 3 days for IT evaluation.

Today I got a response from them as follows: ' Our tech guys evaluated the motherboard. Unfortunately they found the CPU pins to have been bent. Owing to this we unfortunately are unable to process a refund as the board has been physically damaged during installation of the CPU. Would you like to arrange courier collection from us or would you like us to courier back to you for R79?'.

To anyone looking to buy products from them make sure that you take pictures of the actual product once it arrives with the courier there as your witness that the product looks fine then test it and should it be faulty you have proof that this place are an absolute sham.

In all my years of buying computer parts online I have never had such a ********** experience...most companies would apologize for all the inconvenience as well as time delays and try to keep the client happy, alas not these guys.

To actually have the audacity to blame the client for a faulty product is incomprehensible...I have requested the product back so I can take the matter further. At the time of typing this message I have had no reply from Geewiz.

Please be careful, thanks.

We are so sorry to hear you that you feel you did not receive the high quality of service you should have been provided.

We did investigate this case thoroughly.

In summary: Our very first email contained our personal apology to client. We arranged for the the courier to collect the very next business day at 11:44am, but client was not home. Once board arrived back, we noticed a bent pin, hence why the board was not working and had to be sent in for evaluation. Once we received the board back, we straightened the pins, board worked 100%, but client still wanted a full refund - a full refund was processed and client confirmed full refund has been received.

We are always here to help and if there is anything else we can do to assist you further, please feel free to let us know.
