Avoid inverters at all costs, RMA hell cycle

Avoid this retailer for inverters at all costs, just look at some of the inverter related reviews on hellopeter alone to deter you.

My experience has been terrible. I purchased a 2400va mecer inverter from geewizz last year May of 2022 and it packed up within a few months around July or August having to send it in for repairs. I was only drawing about 100-150w at a time, even less when only the router was on it and using a surge protector, so at no fault of my own. I had to beg and plead for a loan unit for weeks where I had to sit without a product during loadshedding.

This year, because of the poor quality and repair services I presume, I had to send in the inverter again in May of 2023 as it was giving me the same problems as before.

This time I only had to beg for a loan unit for a week or two, but to my dismay geewiz does not want to honour my warranty of one year even though the unit was bought in may of last year. The repair cost is exhorbarant and even the support suggested that I just purchase a new unit.

How does this make any sense? I purchased the unit and had to return it for repairs TWICE within a 12 month (WARRANTY) period, where I had to go without the product for around 6 weeks in total(without the loan unit) the repair took way longer than 6 weeks.

No solution, only option is to pay for a brand new unit even though it is within the 12 months of purchasing and that it is the second time i have had to send it in, at this point a full replacement would make more sense but Geewizz has terrible customer support and you will too become stuck in the RMA hell cycle if you choose to go this route and get a faulty unit.
