It is clear that incompetence, lack of sense of urgency and communication is what our government departments pride themselves in.

I lodged a complaint in April about my previous landlord who refuses to pay me back my deposit eventhough she did not avail herself to do the outgoing inspection as per the lease agreement. I was told that a mediation date, which will be useless coz that arrogant woman won’t attend, will be set and a month later, nothing.

I have tweeted the Dpt of Human Settlements to complain about this and post screenshots to proof that the landlord is in the wrong, but as per their norm, they’ve been ignoring me.

Most tenants are suffering and are being mistreated by landlords and the law does nothing to protect them. This woman is claiming that I damaged her property, yet when I ask her for proof she does not have and nor will I accept any so called damages 6 months later ESPECIALLY when an outgoing inspection was never done. She did not meet her end of the agreement

The CPA states that it an inspection should be done within 14 days of vacating otherwise the landlord is obligated to give you a full refund
