Warning travellers going to Gateway Shopping Centre

<p>I travelled for business last week to Umhlanga and decided to pop into Gateway on my way to the Hotel for a quick bite. Parked at entrance B close to Truworths. I felt farly safe as I left my vehicle to enter the mall as a mall secutity guard was standing right behind me when I locked my vehicle. I shopped for around an hour, when I returned to my vehicle there were 3 guards waiting for me as my back passenger window was smached and all my luggage and Laptop was ******. out of boot. When reporting the matter to the Police they said this was happening all the time and more and more incidents were taking place daily. The mall management called me the next day only, with very litttle empathy as to what happened. No interest and understanding was shown in assisting me with some support as I had no clothing or essentials. I felt this was a sign of their jaded view toward their shoppers as this was an everyday occurance as whilst being targets of this type of crime. </p>
