Experience at Gateway Shopping Mall, Umhlanga

Badly demarcated designated parking areas. Charged my vehicle at the EV charging station and once fully charged moved the vehicle to the parking directly opposite the charging station, which was also marked in blue. I left the vehicle there for 4 minutes to assist my wife with broken foot. Security staff must have watched me make the mistake and clamped my vehicle's wheel within 4 minutes and charged me R300 to remove the clamp. No sympathy towards my wife's disablement, the time of the vehicle unattended (4 minutes), and they could clearly see that I was not a local, and definitely not trying to abuse the parking space. Please watch out for this - normally parking bays that are to be avoided are marked in bright colours. Still insisted on payment and I hope they did not damaged my electrical vehicle!!
