Potential False Advertising and Terrible Customer Service

<div>I purchased an iPhone 11 in March 2023. Advertised as a brand new white iPhone 11 128gb. In November 2023 I started experiencing a problem with mobile calls in which I cannot hear the user on the other end and the user cannot hear me. WhatsApp calls appear to be fine but not mobile calls.&nbsp; I then approached Game4u, device got couriered back to them. According to them the phone was out of the 12 month warranty because my screen protector had a crack on it. Apparently they done software trouble shooting and could not find the problem. They then wanted to do some hardware fixing at a cost but then I said I’d rather take the device to the iStore myself. I went into the iStore with my proof of purchase and they advised it is within the warranty based on the proof of purchase irrespective of the cracked screen protector because the device itself is not cracked. At this point, I was not worried about any warranty and was not expecticing the device to be fixed for free. I was willing to pay.&nbsp; The iStore proceeded to book the device in. They came back to me and were not willing to assist at all - according to them their records indicate that the device was purchased in 2022 and not 2023 and the IMEI is not matching the description. They are picking the device up as a red iPhone.&nbsp; Another red flag that I picked up was my battery percentage was quite low for a phone which was less than 12 months old. It was on 69%. I checked with friends who have had their iPhones way longer than I had mine and their battery percentage was way above this. In addition, my wife recently bought a brand new iPhone from the iStore and it came with some sort of paper seal, the iPhone I bought did not have this paper seal. It was only sealed in plastic.&nbsp; As the iStore was not in a position to assist, I was therefore forced to make use of a third party who had a look at the device and according to them, they tried their best but could not fix the problem.&nbsp; I have been engaging with Game4u and they just completely stopped responding to me and I’ve since been trying to reach out to Game4u without any luck. It is companies like these that give small businesses a bad name a deter people from supporting small businesses. Had I bought the device from a reputable organisation such as the iStore, Vodacom, Makro, etc I would most likely not be in this position as these big companies typically offer excellent after sale service and are generally willing to assist. Please be aware and take extra precautionary measures when making any big purchases from this company.</div>
